Please, someone explain me why when I compile this code in Dev-C++ (Windows OS) the following error message apears: 'clrscr' undeclared (first use this function)
int main()
{ int c;
char d;
clrscr();
printf(' Example program for PSC232 n');
setup();
{ int c;
char d;
clrscr();
printf(' Example program for PSC232 n');
setup();

If you're referring to main. The correct form is. Int main (void) And that won't make any difference if you try to call a function that doesn't exist in the library of the compiler you're using. I was using cygnus and those SIRGRP and SIROTH I used are perfectly OK but now when I use DEV C, it says those are undeclared so I comment them out. I mean I simply delete those argments. But then the results are totoally different. The files are read-only but of coz I wanna read those files too.anyone got an idea for this? These are the.

- Thank you very much, now it works. The reason it didn't work for me before is that I was compiling an ANSI C file, not C. Jose Manuel Padron Carrillo.
- I can't believe I didn't see that. I even rechecked it for that exact reason and still missed it. This is why it helps to have a fresh perspective Thanks tabstop!

I've just found a way to solve the problem. Include the stdlib library (#include <stdlib.h>;) and instead of clrscr(); code replace for system('cls'); and voilá it works.
